The curriculum at a glance

         This is an education and intervention alcohol / possession program for first and second time offenders. The program and the approach is designed to afford the client the necessary tools to survive today’s real life exposure to alcohol and drugs. We will discuss in detail addiction and the individual circumstances surrounding our client’s experiences as well as future possibilities.

    This curriculum will focus on the individuals attending the class and not a predetermined subject matter outline. Abstinence will be the main focus discussed and the clients relationship to real life situations that expose us to the dangers related with exposure to drugs and alcohol. There are ways to minimize the dangers surrounding our clients. We will explore realistic ways to cope with the avoidance of the drugs and alcohol environments that our clients experiences.

      Everyone involved with TTSP Counseling believes that our clients are unique and precious and we learn as much from them as they do from us. Here we focus on the those unique experiences when we discuss ideas to survive the powers of peer pressure, social influence and family influence and how that effects the feelings around the implied rights and privileges of adulthood.

    At this point the legal system has become a part of our client’s life. We will discuss in detail what they can expect right now and in the future. The legal system can be confusing and have many implied caveats. Knowing what to avoid and how and how to do this best can relieve many of the pressures they feel.

    Over looking or not knowing the health hazards surrounding the things we put in our bodies is common and expected. We will discuss the chemicals in the drugs and the damage our body experiences.

   We will not blame or point fingers because that would not build an educational environment. Our comprehensive approach to assist and help clients guide themselves in a healthy and safe life direction. Although attendance may be mandated we do not detour from the fact that it was a mistake that brought you here and that mistakes are easy to make.
